Volunteer Captain

Our more experienced volunteers have the opportunity to be selected as a volunteer captain.

Duties:

• Help train new volunteers at volunteer orientation and during sessions.

• Assist with visitor tours at riding center.

• Help coordinate volunteers for special events such as Ridefest and horse shows.

• Meet with other Volunteer Captains and staff once a session to evaluate the program from a volunteer’s point-of-view.

Requirements:

• At least two sessions of experience with Equest.

• Good working knowledge of tacking and grooming.

• Good working knowledge of how to help with riders.

• Desire to become more involved with the program.
